A boast and $160 dollars-worth of music, for free

January 27th, 2010 (11:46 pm)

I've just written 13,500 words in a whisker over three weeks which, for fiction, is more than a record for me! It's my dracobigbang fic and, for the first time in a long while, I'm actually wondering what will happen next in a good way instead of wondering 'what the hell happens next' in an entirely stressful way.

I've also signed up for dmficexchange and that's really going to stretch me, because my recipient wants a dark, prisoner!fic :-/

...

I heard this on Radio 3 years and years ago, tried to find a recording, tracked down a secondhand CD on Amazon.com for $160 dollars, and (of course) couldn't afford it.

Then, recently, someone posted it on YouTube!

About Harry Plunket Greene.

Make sure you listen until the very end -- the last word will break your heart.

suitable job for a lady

That's how I still am with the Return-verse stuff - and it is fun! I think it might be good to eventually go back to the 'aargh! What now?' stuff with a fresh eye. But the story S2C and I were writing together, which, for me, became hard work, even though I know what should happen at the end, is still stalled...

It's depressing, isn't it? I'm like that over Winter Magic at the moment because I don't know how to get Arador out of the proverbial. Maybe I just have to let the axe fall on him. But I don't want to!

I reckon it will be a good few thousand words over the minimum by the time I've finished :-)

Thanks -- I'm on the difficult bit now: solving the crime!
